Public humiliation done right.

Took my little sister toy shopping today. After much browsing, she chose a pack of Hot Wheels cars. She wanted to pay so I gave her the money. As we were waiting in line, some dude waiting behind us asks:

“Buying those for your brother?”

My sister gives him a weird look, “No. They’re mine.”

“You sure you want those, sweetheart? Those are for boys.” He says.

Before I can say anything, my sister yells, like truly yells at the top of her lungs, “MY MOMMY IS A GIRL AND DRIVES A CAR EVERY DAY! GIRLS CAN HAVE CARS TOO!”

The people in front of us in line turn around. The cashier actually stops what she’s doing. Everyone stares at this guy and he just sort of turns red, grabs his kid, and disappears into the Lego aisle.

Ha.

Which classic 90s Nickelodeon show is being revamped and returning to Nickelodeon with 40 new episodes?

And who is screaming internally right now because this used to be his favourite show?

GameInternals: Understanding Pac-Man Ghost Behavior

gameinternals:

It only seems right for me to begin this blog with the topic that inspired me to start it in the first place. Not too long ago, I came across Jamey Pittman’s “Pac-Man Dossier”, which is a ridiculously-detailed explanation of the mechanics of Pac-Man. I found it absolutely fascinating, so this…

I read this a long while back, and I’ve just found it again.

This will never not be amazing to me.

“Tekken Tag Tournament Piano Intro -Massive Mix-” - Akitaka Tohyama

An awesome person [I love you so much right now you don’t even understand] sent me the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 soundtrack. I’m loving it, and I’m freaking out, and I can’t wait to play the game eventually, and an arcade not too far from me will probably have it in sometime this month, and I’m so fucking excited.

But, not counting when I was at Half-Price Books yesterday, stumbled into the Young Adults section, and glanced upon A Series of Unfortunate Events, I don’t think I’ve ever felt as much nostalgic excitement as I did when this track, the first song of the soundtrack no less, played. It’s weird, too, because, listening to Amazon’s previews of the original TTT soundtrack, I realize that a lot of the other songs are more tied to memories for me [“Staff Roll”, snow, swords, Yoshimitsu vs. Kunimitsu; ”Ogre”, 7th stage, creepy dark stone place, usually fighting again Heihachi; “Unknown”, final stage, creepier dark place, what the f*ck is that floating wolf thing, is she possessed, jeebus how is she not dead yet, that shit cray]. Yet “Opening Move,” (the song which is mixed in this one) which I normally skipped because I rarely just sat and watched the opening movie, is still that main reminder of just everything (along with “Select”).

It’s been more than 11 years since Tekken Tag Tournament was first released to console (the Good Ole’ PS2) in America, and, despite my love for the series, it’s still the only Tekken game I’ve owned. But I swear to any possibly existing higher being out there that I will get my hands on TTT2.

Wow. This post is much longer than I intended it to be.
